The General Traffic Department has reported that during both the day and night of Eid, 102 traffic incidents took place across various regions of Afghanistan, resulting in the loss of 50 lives.
According to the Afghanistan Times report, the department released a newsletter sharing the figures. It said that over the four-day Eid ul-Fitr holiday period, the country witnessed 50 fatalities in 102 traffic incidents, with an additional 185 individuals sustaining injuries.
According to the statement from the Traffic Department of the Ministry of Interior of Afghanistan, the casualties during Eid included 25 men, 8 women, and 13 children.
Furthermore, out of the 185 individuals injured during Eid traffic incidents, 118 were men, 34 were women, and 33 were children.
