Abdul Haq Wasiq Asserts Exclusive Activity of Intelligence Networks in Afghanistan.
In a recent address at the “Program for Praising Security Forces,” Abdul Haq Wasiq, the General Director of Afghanistan’s premier spy agency, firmly stated that no groups other than intelligence networks were active in the country. Wasiq emphasized ongoing efforts to identify and apprehend these networks to ensure national security.
“From the intelligence side, there are still some networks operating, and you and I must, with full strength and in cooperation, stop the enemy as we have done in the past so that their hopes are completely dashed,” Wasiq declared, highlighting the necessity of unified action.
In a significant development, Wasiq announced the establishment of a law for the General Directorate of Intelligence, marking a historic first for Afghanistan. “For the first time in Afghanistan’s history, a comprehensive law has been crafted to better regulate the affairs of the Directorate of Intelligence, and all provisions of this law are based on the Sharia system and the Hanafi jurisprudence,” he explained, underlining the legal framework’s religious foundations.
In tandem with Wasiq’s statements, Acting Minister of Defense Mohammad Yaqoob Mujahid reiterated his unwavering loyalty to the leader of the Islamic Emirate. “Accepting anyone’s commands is unacceptable, and we are in obedience to our leader, and we will not take orders from anyone else,” Mujahid asserted. He further emphasized the leader’s directive to address the country’s security challenges with utmost seriousness.
These declarations underscore the government’s commitment to maintaining internal security and adherence to the directives of the Islamic Emirate’s leadership.
