Tense situation in Kyrgyzstan, Pakistani students reached back home on Saturday night.
A special flight carrying 140 Pakistani students from Kyrgyzstan capital of Bishkek arrived at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport late on Saturday following mob violence that targeted international students including Pakistani nationals. Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar told media that more than 800 students will come home by Sunday.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi was present at Lahore Airport to receive the returning students.
Naqvi greeted the students and inquired about their well-being, expressed gratitude for their safe return and sought details on the unfortunate incident they experienced in Bishkek.
It is learned that additional flights were being operated to repatriate more students.
