Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reaffirmed his commitment to eradicating terrorism in Pakistan, promising to equip the military with all necessary resources to combat the ongoing threat.
“There is no room for terrorism. The time has come to end it,” the Prime Minister declared. “We will provide the military with whatever resources it needs.”
During a Federal Cabinet meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and convened to address the nation’s security challenges following a series of terrorist attacks, the premier strongly condemned the violence in Balochistan, emphasizing that the situation there cannot be condemned enough. He also pointed out attempts by terrorists to sow discord between Pakistan and China, highlighting the broader geopolitical implications of the insurgency.
PM Shehbaz Sharif made it clear that negotiations would only be held with groups that respect Pakistan’s constitution. He firmly stated that talks would not be conducted with entities he described as “friend-like enemies,” signaling a hardline stance against those who threaten national stability.
As the cabinet meeting progresses, key decisions are expected to be made to address the escalating security concerns, with a particular focus on stabilizing the country amid the recent surge in terrorist activities. The discussions underscore the government’s determination to restore peace and security across Pakistan.
