Former Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has been elected president of his party. This development came after 6 years. Nawaz Sharif was ousted from the country’s premiership and later disqualified through a judicial decree. On the 28th of May, his party’s central council held its meeting in Lahore, and Nawaz Sharif was elected unopposed.
The former PM spent life in exile and returned last year when his younger brother and the then president of PMLN became Prime Minister of Pakistan.
