The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) released a report on Wednesday detailing the devastating impact of heavy rains and flooding in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with 31 fatalities and 41 injuries reported across different districts.
According to the PDMA report, among the deceased are 15 children, 12 men, and 5 women, while the injured include 6 women, 28 men, and 7 children. The disaster resulted in damage to 1370 houses due to collapsing walls and roofs, with 160 houses completely destroyed and 1210 partially damaged.
The affected districts include Dir Upper and Lower, Chitral Lower and Upper, Swat, Bajaur, Shangla, Mansehra, Mohmand, Malakand, Karak, Tank, Mardan, Peshawar, Charsadda, Nowshera, Bunir, Hangu, Bataghram, Bannu, North and South Waziristan, Kohat, Dera Ismail Khan, and Orakzai District.
