A delegation of 44 students from Harvard Business School’s (HBS) Trek-2024, representing nine different countries, had an exclusive meeting with General Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), Chief of Army Staff (COAS) of Pakistan, at the General Headquarters today.
The interactive session served as a forum to discuss Pakistan’s crucial role in fostering regional peace and stability, its relentless efforts in combating terrorism, and its steadfast dedication to upholding democratic principles.
During the discussion, General Syed Asim Munir stressed the importance of education, critical thinking, and innovation in tackling modern security challenges. He underscored Pakistan’s vast potential and encouraged the students to form independent views based on their experiences. The COAS also warned of the dangers posed by misinformation and fake news in the digital era, urging the attendees to approach information with discernment.
The Harvard students expressed their gratitude to the COAS for the opportunity to engage in such a meaningful and insightful dialogue. This interaction follows the COAS’s earlier engagement with students from various universities on 20 August, highlighting his ongoing commitment to mentoring and inspiring the youth of the nation.
