In a devastating incident, a boat capsized, leading to the deaths of 10 people in Momand Dera district of Nangarhar.
Nangarhar deputy governor Maulvi Saeed Ahmad Binuri said that 10 persons were killed and 11 more wounded in the incident.
The bodies of eight persons were recovered while efforts were in progress to find the bodies of remaining two persons.
The dead included three women, two men, four boys and a girl, he said. The injured included three women, two girls, four boys and two men, he added.
Twenty six persons were traveling in the boat, officials said. Five of them were rescued alive.
The deputy governor said that it was a generator-powered boat. It drowned as people in large numbers were traveling in this boat.
