In a major political reshuffling, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is mostly likely to become Pakistan’s Foreign Minister very soon. A power-sharing deal between Pakistan People’s Party and PMLN is close to finalizing political deal.
In Pakistan, the media has reported that Bilawal will join the cabinet of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif with the portfolio of the foreign ministry. It is believed in the context of recent meeting of Shahbaz Sharif and Bilawal which took place in Islamabad. If PPP joined the federal government then obviously there will be more PPP ministers in the cabinet.
They claimed that Bilawal, who was initially reluctant to join the cabinet, agreed to become the foreign minister for the second time.
The two sides are now working on the details and the timing of the PPP’s formal induction into the federal cabinet.
The sources said PM Shehbaz wanted the PPP to join the cabinet before the presentation of the next budget in the first week of June.
It is unclear whether the PPP will join the cabinet before or after the budget.
However, the sources said with certainty that the PPP would be part of the federal cabinet in June.
