In a significant development for Afghanistan’s energy sector, officials from a prominent Chinese company have expressed strong interest in investing in three major hydro-power projects in Kunar province. This announcement followed a meeting between the Chinese firm’s representatives and Mullah Abdul Latif Mansoor, Afghanistan’s Minister for Energy and Water.
The discussions centered on potential investments in the Shal, Sagai, and Sartaq dams, pivotal projects aimed at harnessing the hydro-power potential of the Kunar River.
