Pakistan’s federal government has approved deployment of para military forces, Frontier Constabulary (FC) in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK). The move is aimed to improve the security situation maintain peace in the area, says a press release.
AJK Prime Minister called on Federal Interior Minister of Pakistan in Islamabad and discussed political development and security situations.
Last month, AJK witnessed deadly clashes in which a few people died and many others were injured. Sensing the gravity of the situation, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif released Rs23 billion funds to resolve the problems of inflation and high electricity bills in AJK.
