Punjab University (PU) has received the “Best Improved Asia Region Award ” at the prestigious QS World University Rankings. The university’s progress was showcased at the Edu Data Summit organized by QS in Washington.
Under the leadership of Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Khalid Mahmood, PU has become one of the best educational institutions across the world. With hard work, PU has moved up in the rankings from around 740-750 to a really good 570th position in the QS rankings. Dr. Khalid Mahmood lauded the collective efforts of PU’s faculty, staff, and students, emphasizing that this recognition does not only reflects the university’s progress but also underscores the untapped potential of Pakistani educational institutions worldwide.
He stated that 14 higher education institutions have been ranked this year from Pakistan and PU has been ranked number one in Pakistan. He added that this indicator shows the ability of the university to ensure a high level of employability for their graduates, while also nurturing future leaders who go on to make impact in their respective areas.
